Over the last couple of days, I've had a surge in sales of my Log Cabin Shawl on Craftsy and was wondering why... A quick search revealed that the Craftsy blog recently posted a step-by-step tutorial on the log cabin knitting technique, with my Log Cabin Shawl featured as an example.
The tutorial explains how to make a log cabin square that is very similar to the quilt block of the same name, which is begun with a square and continues to add rectangles on each side. This is a different result than what is used in my pattern, but the join-as-you-go technique is the same.
