Raissa Cowl

Raissa Cowl knitting pattern by Cassie Castillo. Bias knit with fringe edges. Great stash buster!
Raissa Cowl knitting pattern by Cassie Castillo. Bias knit with fringe edges. Great stash buster!
Raissa Cowl, a bias-striped cowl with twisted fringe, is a great stash-busting project that is fun and easy to knit.

Single row stripes make every row a right-side row, which means NO purling.
The ends are incorporated into the fringe, which means NO weaving in ends.

Raissa Cowl can be made with any gauge, in any width and circumference. It is all up to you! The cowl in the photos used worsted weight yarn, plus other weights of yarn with 2 or more strands held together.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Can be made any size. Cowl shown in photos is 6” wide (not including fringe) and 26” in circumference.

MATERIALS
Mix of yarns in different colors. Cowl shown used 14 colors of mostly worsted weight yarns, plus lighter weight yarns held together. If using worsted weight yarn, the following lighter weight yarns can be held together:
4 strands of lace weight, 3 strands of fingering weight, 2 strands of sport weight
Cowl shown used approximately 155 yds/53 g.

NEEDLES
Use a 16” circular needle in a size appropriate for the weight of yarn.
