Camellia Shrug
Originally published in Knitscene Spring 2010/Spring 2011, Camellia Shrug can now be purchased as a single pattern from the Interweave Store.
Camellia Shrug is a lace shrug worked in an incredibly soft alpaca/silk blend yarn. The back is worked from the center outwards in a counterpane construction. The sleeves are continued on two sides of the square with a lace motif at the cuff. Stitches are picked up around the opening for a rib band.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
16 (18, 20, 221⁄2, 25)" wide across back, to fit bust sizes 34 (38, 42, 46, 50)"
YARN:
Lorna’s Laces Honor (70% alpaca, 30% silk; 275 yd [251 m]/100 g): Avondale, 3 (3, 3, 4, 5) skeins
NEEDLES:
US 5/3.75 mm: 24" circular needle and set of 5 double-pointed needles
US 4/3.5 mm needles
NOTIONS REQUIRED:

Stitch holders
Yarn needle
GAUGE:
16 sts and 32 rows = 4" in lace patt on larger needle; 19 sts and 26 rows = 4" in St st on larger needle
